I’m going to be offering a comprehensive guide on how to freeze your own credit in the near future, so let me know if you have specific questions you want me to research.

It seems to me that it’s simple enough of a process, but Transunion has launched their online freeze system which should make it even easier. The neat thing is that Transunion (not the other two that I know of) is offering freezes for FREE right now. I can’t believe those scumbags are doing it, but there you have it.

If I was a skeptic, I’d think that TransUnion is hoping to sign up thousands of people for free and then convert those users into customers.
I have put together a guide on doing a credit freeze yourself, which I researched the process in all the states that allow credit freezes, but I wonder what specific information would help people the most.
