About Rook and Rook’s Money Blog

Rook’s Money Blog is written by me, Rook Davis, head decision maker of Rook Financial Group, a private organization which invests in various ventures, such as real estate, personal lending and equities.

Believe me, I’ve been there – I’ve been broke and at one time I worked two jobs, both at minimum wage. I didn’t even know how to open a bank account. It seems so simple to me now, but back then I had no idea. Now that I no longer work paycheck to paycheck, own some stocks and real estate and have a retirement account, I understand money a lot better than when I was younger. I also grew up in a tough, impoverished neighborhood so I grew up surrounded by con artists, gangsters and bums. I have a low tolerance for scams, because they usually target people who can’t afford to lose money.

So I want to help other people get a leg up if I can, and this seems like a good way to do it. Of course, nothing in this blog is considered an offering of legal advice or financial advice, and if you should always consult with a qualified professional about such matters.
